Another Graduation Quilt

A lap quilt created for our nieces graduation.  I always back the quilts with a polar fleece.

Prom to HOCO Dress

Our daughter just loved her Madison James junior prom dress and asked me to cut it off for homecoming. 

Steps Taken:

1. Removed the lace from skirt and left lace attached to waistband

2. Removed skirt from the waistband

3. Cut new skirt from bottom of mermaid flare on skirt

4. Sewed skirt to waistband

5. Hemmed 

6. Sewed lace down to new skirt around hip area

8th Grade Party Original

 After visiting SR Harris Fabrics our daughter decided she wanted her 8th grade party formal dress created from this stunning gold shimmer brocade and burgandy irridescent taffeta.

Reign Inspired Winter Formal

Our daughter loved the show Reign and all the beautiful dresses 

the costume department created.  

Fabrics purchased from SR Harris. 

Her 2017 Winter Formal dress was inspired by the gown below.

Upcycled Mittens

To raise money for her upcoming choir trip 

our daughter created mittens from old wool sweaters, 

set up and Etsy store and began selling the mittens.  

She priced them $24-$36/pair.

Upcycled Mittens

Mittens made from old wool sweaters.  The pattern was used via an online retailer that does not allow me to promote them via a blog.  Sold in specialty stores around Central Iowa.
